There’s something that separates struggling business owners from those who hit the million dollar mark. And the word is courage. That bold, CEO level courage, it takes to scale beyond what feels comfortable. So if you’ve ever felt stuck, held back by fear or wondered why some businesses seem to soar while other businesses stall, this episode is for you.

Before we dive into the episode, I just want to issue a. Big apology that a podcast episode wasn’t released last week. I usually have a couple of episodes up my sleeve, but with the launch going on, I’ve been doing my business breakthrough roadshow, I didn’t have any spare episodes recorded and my home at the Gold Coast in Southeast Queensland, Australia. Got hit by a freak cyclone last week. We first heard about it on the news saying there was potentially a cyclone on the way. And anyone who’s in this region will know it seemed to drag on and on, the cyclone was stalling, and then eventually it did hit, um, as you may know, if you’re a regular listener of the podcast, I live on a canal, which means that I’m on waterfront. So after the cyclone had passed, we then entered a flood risk as a result of all of the rain. And my husband is overseas at the moment at a conference. So it’s been a very full on week, thankfully, my family and our home is safe. Unfortunately, a lot of other people haven’t been so blessed. And I know that in my local area, there are still people without internet, without power and not too far from where I live. There are people whose homes have been flooded and lost. So I am counting myself very fortunate, but also it has been a real, I’m going to be honest. A real inconvenience and quite a stressful time. So if you’re affected as well, um, my heart goes out to you and apologies as a listener of the podcast that an episode didn’t come out last week.

Having that context of what’s been going on behind the scenes for me over this past week is also proving to be very relevant. And this episode is so fitting, particularly in the context of these current circumstances. Because being brave isn’t just about what you do when everything is going peachy. It’s not about that you never go through hard times. It’s not about that you keep on fighting no matter how you’re feeling internally. Courage is about being able to continue on after you’ve navigated through the challenging times. How you then step back into your inner power.

So courage Courage isn’t always about just being brave, regardless of what’s going on. It’s not that you don’t feel scared. You will. And it doesn’t mean that you are perfect or that you don’t fall apart sometimes. Courage is the ability to keep doing things, even when you’ve been scared, even when you’ve been hurt. Even if you don’t. Don’t know how things are going to turn out and in a business context, there are some big things that hold people back from that, that next level of growth from creating those a hundred thousand dollar months.

The first one is a fear of investing. Like what if I spend the money? What if I invest in my business in myself and it doesn’t work? I might have a fear of not being liked. What if I put my prices up and my clients get cranky at me? What if I, um, have a difficult conversation with a team member and they don’t think I’m an awesome boss anymore?

Another one is a fear of being visible. What if people judge me? What if you post that controversial social media post? Another one might be a fear of failing. What if I do the things and it doesn’t work out? And the last fear, which sounds like why would this be a fear, but it is a very, very real thing, is the fear of succeeding.

What if I do this thing and it actually does work out? What if I become highly visible and my social media following explodes? But then that means that I’m potentially going to have more haters. Or what if this next level of success means that I’m working all the time and I’ve got less time to spend with my family.

These fears are totally normal, but staying in fear won’t get you to the seven figures moving through the fear will. So how does courage serve you as someone who’s got big business dreams? Well, I want you to think about this. What’s one decision? You’ve been avoiding because it feels uncomfortable. Is it letting go of a toxic client?

Is it finally launching your online course? Is it investing in your business growth? That’s the exact kind of thing that separates six figure business owners from the million dollar CEOs. It’s that ability to have that fear, to know there’s that thing that’s holding you back and being able to step forward and do it anyway.

Now here’s the cool thing. There are some people who are naturally more courageous. These things don’t always come naturally. And as someone, you know, I’ve coached hundreds of successful entrepreneurs over my past nine plus years. Oh my gosh. And I’ve been doing this and I’ve noticed a pattern. Those of my clients that break through to the seven figures aren’t necessarily the most talented or the ones with the best idea.

They’re the ones who’ve cultivated the courage to play bigger. They move despite those limiting thoughts, beliefs, and fears. So here’s the things that I’ve noticed that they do. Number one, they make fast, bold decisions. They don’t spend months agonizing over things. They make decisions even if they don’t have all the answers.

They trust themselves. They make a call. And even if things don’t work out. They just adjust as needed. For example, I had a client of mine who spent six months debating whether to hire a team member. She was like, Oh my gosh, this is a big investment. I don’t know if I’m ready, all of the things. And when she finally did it.

Her revenue doubled within three months. This is the power of taking big bold action. And yes, sometimes it doesn’t work out, but at least you’re learning and moving forward. The next thing I’ve noticed about seven figure CEOs, they normalize fear. As part of the journey, they’re just like, yes, I’m going to feel scared when I go to make a big decision.

I, I don’t know if things are going to work out, but they don’t wait for the fear to disappear. They just move forward with it. Anyway, they make decisions when scared. I know the first time I invested in a high ticket coach, I nearly vomited hitting the pay now button, but that decision changed the entire trajectory of my business.

Another big thing that I’ve noticed about those CEOs who move with courage is they surround themselves with big thinkers. If you’re always the biggest, most expanded person in the room. You’re in the wrong room. And this is why masterminds working with a mentor is so powerful because you get into spaces where million dollar conversations are happening and you start to normalize.

Okay, let’s do something big, bold, and brave. And the last thing that seven figure CEOs have is the ability to hold the vision, even when things get tough. It’s easy to look at that perfect person on Instagram and think nothing ever goes wrong for them. I promise you this, everyone goes through challenging times.

It’s not that things aren’t getting tough for them. They will have really challenging times in their business, perhaps behind the scenes. But what they do is they keep moving forward. They have the vision for what they want to create and they keep moving forward even when things get tough. So how can you start to cultivate your seven figure CEO courage?

Here’s three powerful shifts that will help you. Number one, reframe from faith to fear. It’s natural for our brains. To have a negative bias. So perhaps when you’re looking at, uh, making a big, bold decision, you’re like, what if this goes wrong? How can you reframe that and start to ask? What if this growth goes, right?

Your business will only grow as big. As your belief in yourself. The next thing, take action before you are ready. Most successful business owners. Don’t wait until all the ducks are lined up in a perfect little row before they make their big moves. They just do it anyway, because the confidence comes through taking action.

Not before. An example of this is my road show. I came up with this concept and I didn’t have it all planned out, but I just took action and made it happen. And it’s been an absolute game changer in terms of visibility, in terms of attracting your clients, taking the big bold action. You don’t need to wait until everything is perfect.

You just take action. ASAP. And the last thing I mentioned this earlier, surround yourself with people doing big things. Courage is courageous and who you hang around matters. When you’re in a room full of people who are chasing big dreams, you are going to start to think and therefore act. Now, I do just want to say great a little bit, because if you are ready to step into your seven figure CEO self, I want you to think about this, who is guiding you and who is in your corner, helping you to make bold, courageous moves.

If you don’t have anyone, I want to invite you to check out my brand new mastermind, the profit collective. This is for six and multi six figure business owners. Just like you who want to be making a million dollars revenue a year, this community is about being surrounded by people who are making those big bold moves, who are stepping forward with courage.

And when you step into these rooms. Success starts to become normalized. So if you are feeling that pull, please go and check out the profit collective. I’m going to share a link in the show notes for today’s episode of the podcast. Now to wrap up today, if you are ready to cultivate your CEO courage and scale to seven figures, you are going to have to do things that make you feel uncomfortable. I believe that your business grows in direct proportion to your courage, to your ability to be bold and the gap between where you are and where you want to be is bridged by courage. Not by more knowledge or more skills necessarily, but by the courage to actually take action on the things that you do already know and the things that you learn.

I hope today’s episode has inspired you and got you excited about stepping into your next level of growth. And once again, if you are at that stage, Six multi six figure mark, and you want to be mentored by me and be in a room full of courageous business owners. Come check out the profit collective.
