Alrighty. So I wanted to start today’s episode by talking about what exactly Horny bridesmaid energy is. So let me go back to where it started. As I shared in last week’s episode of the podcast, I’ve just recently come back from a retreat with my seven figure and multi seven figure biz friends, including Denise Duffield-Thomas, Kerry Rowett, [00:03:00] Leoniee Dawson, Tash Corbin, Tina Tower. You might know some of these names. And I was there being me in all of my enthusiasm and over excitement, and Denise turned around to me and said, “Clare, you are horny for life. You are just so excited about life.” And I looked at her and I smiled and I said, “I really am.”

And we had a laugh and I said, I am horny for life. Now, before I go into the second part of it, I wanna share a story about this person. You may have heard of  Leoniee Dawson, if you haven’t, go and check Leonie out. So I first connected with Leonie because I was speaking at the [00:04:00] Heart set of conference last year, and as a result I had the opportunity to hang out with the other speakers and we were hanging out in a hotel room and Leonie said to me that they were born in this shitty town in North Queensland. And I said, oh, where? And Leonie said, “Oh, you wouldn’t know it.” And I said, yeah, where? And Leonie said, “Proserpine”. In that moment I said, “No way”. I laughed my head off. Because that is literally the little town that I was born in, a tiny town with a population of only a few thousand people.

We were literally born in the same hospital, probably meters from each other. So it all started as a bit of a joke and we said, “In a town that size, we [00:05:00] must be related.” And as a result, we’ve started nickname each other as siblings, or the name that’s really stuck is “Cuz”. So we both call each other “Cuz”. Now that was just a little side story there. Let me come back to how this relates to horny bridesmaid energy. Anyway, so at this retreat, so hanging out this time together, I was just being me and carrying on and being silly as I do, and Leonie said to me, “Clare, have you been a bridesmaid quite a few times?”

And I said, “Yeah, I actually have why?” And Leoniee said, “Yeah. They set that energy off you,” and that is how horny bridesmaid energy was born. I put the two and two together and realized that I have horny bridesmaid [00:06:00] energy. I did a post about this on social media. I told a few of my friends and clients you know, quite a few people in my world and they have all had such a giggle and said, “Yes you do.

You have horny bridesmaid energy.” So let’s talk about what exactly that means. And you know, I mean, let’s be honest, I am kind of winging it here because this is the first time I’ve heard of it, but this is what I have defined horny bridesmaid energy to me. It means being full of life, having lots of energy and passion, maybe being a little bit too excited about what’s possible, being up for any dare challenge and being the sidekick ready to lead you astray in a good way. So how does all of this translate to business and how I [00:07:00] show up as a coach? Well, I am that sidekick that believes in your huge dreams and your ability to create them. I am like the horny bridesmaid egging you on to take shots. I am there and I empower you to go all in, but not from a place of reckless overspending.

You know, I’m not the kind of bridesmaid that wants you to break up with your fiance. I am there from a place of enthusiasm and drive. Exactly who you want by your side without stealing your spotlight. It’s about being playful and powerful. So how exactly can you create horny bridesmaid energy?

A myth that I want to crush straight away. It’s not about being the loudest person in the room. It’s not about being a show off. [00:08:00] You don’t have to have the same kind of energy as me to have horny bridesmaid energy. It’s simply about embracing, passion and enthusiasm. It’s about having that lust for your business and the impact that you are here to create.

So let’s talk about how you can start to bring it. Firstly, have fun with your business. It doesn’t mean you have to be dancing and doing silly reels necessarily, but just how can you bring fun to the work that you do? How can you bring that main character energy? Show in your marketing, the transformation of the work that you do?

Own your zone of genius. And the one thing I would say about that bridesmaid [00:09:00] is that they stand out from the crowd. So how can you make your business really stand out, whether it’s through your messaging, through your visual presentation, how can you use storytelling and really own your authority?

What you wanna do is be the horny bridesmaid hyping your business like a ride or die best friend. Publicly celebrate. Maybe you’ve won an award or been, you know, landed an amazing client. Show your passion. Tag people. You know, be a ride or die bridesmaid for other businesses as well. If there’s products that you use or other businesses that you work with, hype them up too.
